Lynn Banis is a Master Certified Coach and Board Certified Coach who has devoted over thirty years to the development of human and organizational potential. She is recognized for her clarity of thought, her ability to ask deep questions, and her business acumen. Lynn’s coaching includes developing star players in the corporate arena by leveraging the person’s strengths with respect to personal, professional, and organizational goals. In addition to executive coaching, Lynn is a talented instructional designer, researcher, and tele-seminar leader.
Lynn is forthright, future-focused and drives towards solutions. She quickly establishes trust with her clients and helps them meet their objectives. Whether Lynn is working with individuals or groups, her clients say she really “hears” them and that she has been instrumental in guiding them through complex, often difficult situations.
Earlier in her career, Lynn was a Senior Manager, Performance Consulting with Arthur Andersen as an executive coach and head of firm wide mentor training. Previously, she held executive positions in large healthcare organizations in leadership development, training, and quality management. She began her career as an educator.
Lynn holds a PhD in Urban Services with a cognate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, an MS in Counseling, an MS in Administration, and a BA in English. She is also is a graduate of Corporate Coach U. Lynn was a founding member of the ICF Internal Coaching Special Interest Group, chartered to foster best practices for internal coaching. She also co-chaired the membership committee of the Chicago Coach Federation. Lynn has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational effectiveness and development, testing and evaluation, research methods, interpersonal relations, and quality leadership. She is past-President of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Southeast Virginia Chapter and was a member of ASTD’s National Executive Committee.
